O'Grady lived in Wheaton, Illinois, and attended the Wheaton North High School in the year 1981. She is the daughter Jan O'Grady (a financial planner) and Jim O'Grady. Her family raised her by their parents in Wheaton within Illinois and was graduated in 1981 with a diploma from the Wheaton North High School. The model was featured on several television commercials, before moving into Los Angeles. O'Grady's first job was to model for Montgomery Ward. She also was a part of several commercials. She made her debut on screen in the romantic drama Having a Baby in 1988. She later played a recurring lead in ABC Drama China Beach alongside Dana Delany. In addition, she guest-starred in a variety of other shows as well as appeared in made-for TV and independent films. Donna Abandando was her first large role on ABC's crime show NYPD Blue. O'Grady was the big-haired team secretary of ABC's NYPD Blue between 1993 through the year 1996. Each year, she earned Emmy Award nods for Outstanding actress in a Drama Series. Allison Pregler is a reviewer who tackles Z-grade film typically in the horror or martial arts genre a roughly similar beat that of The Cinema Snob but tending towards action-oriented dumb films and an obsession with them. She began reviewing movies around the middle of 2009, after she was popular in their forum.
